Are you interested in Science and keen to pursue a career where you can make a meaningful impact? If so, then we are looking for you! We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic self-starter to join our Inorganics Team as an Analyst.

With a degree in a science-related subject, you will analyse and investigate results for a range of scientific work alongside Senior Analysts and Technicians.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Undertake laboratory analysis of samples from a variety of sources and in strict adherence to analytical methods and standard operating procedures.

• Analysis and investigation of results in conjunction with the senior staff.

• Routine maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation.

• Develop, validate, review, update and implement standard operating procedures, for work undertaken in their area of responsibility, in conjunction with senior staff.

• Ensuring that procedures are followed routinely and departures or changes are brought to the attention of the Section Head.

• Undertake data entry using a Laboratory Information Management System.

• To uphold and comply with the statutory provision of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and any other relevant legislation and policies or procedures relating to Health & Safety at Work.

• The Laboratory Analysts will uphold and comply with the requirements of UKAS Accreditation.

• To undertake any other reasonable task or responsibility requested by a senior manager.

GENERAL:

• At all times work in a way that demonstrates the Company’s business methods.

• Maintaining high standards in terms of personal appearance conduct and respect of Company property.

• To listen to and relay market intelligence.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Degree in a Science-related subject.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Knowledge and experience of IC, ICP, Continuous Flow Analyser, Discrete Analyser would be ideal but full training will be given.
