Laboratory Technician

Are you looking to establish or develop your career in a Scientific field? If so, look no further! We have an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to join our busy team based in Lenham Heath.

Working alongside Senior Technicians, Analysts and Senior Analysts you will be using classical wet chemistry techniques to prepare and extract samples and conduct basic analysis of the results.

You must have a positive approach to work and, although not essential, ideally you will have some previous laboratory experience in a similar role. Full training will be provided.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Preparation and extraction of analytical samples and reagents including basic analysis using classical wet chemistry techniques in accordance with laboratory test procedures.

· Basic laboratory testing where appropriate

· The Calculation of results.

· Ensuring Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.

· Ensuring Quality procedures are adhered to.

· Data entry into LIMS.

· Calibration, equipment and balance checks

· Housekeeping, ensuring the laboratory work area is clean, tidy and free from rubbish.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· A minimum of G.C.S.E grade C or above in Science, Maths and English or two years laboratory experience.

• SALARY: £25,045.73

• LOCATION: Lenham

• WORKING PATTERN: 9am to 5:30pm, Mon-Fri
