Are you a confident and professional Business Development Manager with knowledge and experience of the RDF/SRF and municipal waste sectors?

We have a newly created role with a core focus to drive sales in our waste derived fuels capabilities. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and actioning our company sales strategy for the RDF/SRF and municipal waste sectors.

With a proven sales ability the successful candidate will identify and exploit new sales opportunities with prospects within the waste and recycling sectors. Follow up leads, attend sales meetings, generate quotes and convert quotes into new business.

Key Role Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Sales Director, the Business Development Manager will have the following key responsibilities:

• Generate sales of £500k within the first 18 months.

• To work closely with operations in preparing quotations to ensure that the pricing achieves profit expectations and contractual obligations can be met.

• Input on reporting, forecasting, planning and market intelligence plus new business initiatives.

• To provide marketing information to the management team on competitor’s activity and new business opportunities.

• To work closely with the Marketing Team on developing marketing initiatives to generate new business.

• To maintain contact with clients to ensure satisfaction with the company's services.

• To draw to the attention of the Directors and Managers cases of dissatisfaction for remedial action ensuring that such cases are followed through to a satisfactory conclusion.

• To be an ambassador for the company, identifying and promoting the business ethics of the wider industry by attendance of professional meetings, conferences and exhibitions.

• Report on activities and provide relevant information to management.

• At all times work towards personal, Company and Group targets.

• Assist in the writing and submitting of tenders.

Experience and Qualifications

• Executive level presence and influence with previous experience in business development , account management / customer service / sales.

• Experience and confidence of presenting to both internal and external audiences.

• Full, clean driving licence.

Desirable:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent within a scientific discipline.

• Previous CRM experience

What we offer you:

• SALARY: £50,000 to £60,000 depending on skills and experience

• LOCATION: Homebased with regular travel to sites

• WORKING PATTERN: 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday
